Fear prevents many from living, or at least living the life they desire. It can be paralyzing and crippling. But fear is nothing more than anticipating something bad is going to happen.
We imagine realities that will never exist, circumstances that will never materialize. At its heart, a fearful mind makes that which is only possible seem probable, and that which is unlikely seem inevitable.
Don’t let your mind dwell on outcomes that are unlikely and improbable, as these things will almost certainly not come to pass. Fear will be silenced when we choose to fill our minds with the good things already happening in life, as well as the good things that will likely come.
“Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things.” Philippians 4:8
So true! I often have to silence my mind of it’s fearful thoughts.I think about my garden – that’s my escape.
