“I’d rather be an optimist and a fool than a pessimist and right.” Albert Einstein
We have a choice to make on how we will choose to view the world, and how we choose to see the people in it. Under the guise of intellectual superiority and intelligence, some will choose to approach life as a cynic, questioning, undermining, assuming the worst.
The choice you make on whether to be an optimist or a pessimist will shape the very outcome of your life, what you experience, how much you appreciate, what you achieve. It will impact the relationships you have, the health you enjoy, even the number of years you live.
Betting that things will go wrong will sometimes make you correct in your assumptions. But it’s likely to become a self-fulfilling prophecy, and the negatives outcomes will become the norm, because that’s what you are looking for and expecting.
You will discover what you seek to find. Perhaps you might consider looking for the good things in life, all the things for which you could be grateful. You may just find what you’re looking for.
“There are only two ways to life your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” Albert Einstein
