Despite our ongoing efforts and wishful thinking, there is no perfect you, no idyllic life. And while that may seem to be bad news, it’s actually freeing to move beyond the unattainable so that we might in fact have the imaginable.
Life should be fantastic and wonderful, but that’s far different than expecting perfection from ourselves, those around us, or the circumstances of life.
There are many versions of yourself that you could create from this day forward. Strive for a better you, a better life. If we endeavor to consistently find ways to improve our life experience, the results will be far more satisfying than toiling the unforgiving soil of perfection.
Not a perfect life, but a wonderful one.
