A Matter of Moments

Everyone wants to live the life of their dreams, to squeeze the most out of their days.  We want to experience the lives we see posted on Facebook and Instagram.

But’s it’s easy to be pulled into the rut of busyness and routine, to become so distracted by the urgent demands of daily living that we miss the important and meaningful moments in life.  We fear if we slow down or say no, we will miss out on something, somewhere, with someone.  So we attempt to do it all, which, ironically, becomes the reason we miss out.

“Life isn’t a matter of milestones, but of moments.” Rose Kennedy

There are potential moments waiting for us every day.  We have the freedom to decide the things on which we’ll focus.  Some will choose to be grateful, others will not.  Some will find beauty in everything, while others will elect to find it nowhere.

There is beauty all around us but we must lift our eyes and intentionally look to see it.

“And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count.  It’s the life in your years.” Abraham Lincoln
